airbattle.co.uk is a website devoted to the development of air combat board games. Many of these games are "raid scale" recreations of large air battles that share many common design and gameplay principles.

PUBLISHED TITLES: The titles Downtown, Elusive Victory and The Burning Blue are complete games published by the California-based GMT Games.

PRE-PUBLICATION: The title Nightfighter is available for preorder. Bomber Command is in development and will be offered for preorder soon.

IN DESIGN : The titles Air Warning Red and Zulu Alert are currently in the design phase pending a development slot.

About The Designers

Lee Brimmicombe-Wood is a British born games designer working for the Swedish software developer Massive Entertainment. In a career spanning more than 15 years he has worked for companies as diverse as Rebellion, Kuju and Codemasters. Lee is the creator of PC air combat simulators Team Apache and Ka-52 Team Alligator and is the author of the Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Manual. He has worked on game designs for the Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and 3, Playstation Portable and PC, including the Warhammer 40,000-based Fire Warrior and Operation Flashpoint 2. Board wargame titles include Downtown and The Burning Blue.

Terry Simo is a Major in the Florida Air National Guard. He has more than two decades of military experience with the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. A graduate of the USAF Fighter Weapons School and a former USAF Aggressor, he has flown the F-16 and F-15 and is a GCI controller by trade. He has designed scenarios for Downtown and is designer of Elusive Victory.
