airbattle.co.uk is a website devoted to the development of "raid scale" air combat board games. The games share many common principles that allow the recreation of large scale air battles.

Downtown and The Burning Blue are complete games published by GMT Games. Bomber Command, Air Warning Red, Nightfighter, Zulu Alert and Elusive Victory are all in the design phase.

About The Designers

Lee Brimmicombe-Wood is a UK-based games designer for the software developer Codemasters. He is a creator of air combat simulation titles including Team Apache and Ka-52 Team Alligator for the PC and is the author of the Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Manual. He has worked on game designs for the Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and 3, Playstation Portable and PC, including the Warhammer 40,000-based Fire Warrior, Microsoft Train Simulator and Dungeons and Dragons: Tactics, as well as the board wargame titles Downtown and The Burning Blue. He is currently designing Operation Flashpoint 2 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Terry Simo is a Major in the Florida Air National Guard. He has 18 years of military experience with the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. A graduate of the USAF Fighter Weapons School and a former USAF Aggressor, he has flown the F-16 and F-15 and is a GCI controller by trade. He has designed scenarios for Downtown and is designer of the forthcoming wargame title Elusive Victory.
